Barter trade with an NPC using swapshop

First entry for 2013! Someone asked me if I could make a cash shop that barters with items. After a few hours, I came up with something that will serve you right. I didn’t have any problem during the preliminary testing, but it may have some un-ironed bugs. Using the same format as the cash shop + an additional field that accepts the id of the item that the npc will barter with, swapshop is way to go 😀

WordBot [Quiz NPC]

 

Spice up your server by adding a quiz bot that utilizes *Athena’s PCRE capabilities. I got this idea from web chatrooms wherein the chatbots continuously ask questions, and the users try and answer them to gain points. Well, they can’t do anything with their points [aside from bragging about it]. These points are temporary and are reset to 0 every server restart.

 

We know for a fact that RO is being played by adults and youngsters alike, WordBot can give your players additional knowledge while enjoying the competition with other players may it be a kid, a teen, or an adult. 🙂

This NPC will ask for questions randomly picked from the question bank. It will wait for a certain time before it timeouts and move on to the next question.

The question bank is stored in SQL, thus you can add questions + their corresponding answers easily.

I created a FluxCP addon to supplement this npc..
